Before you install

Why does a macro recorder need permissions?

Recording global keyboard and mouse input, reading the screen, or listening for a captured sound requires operating-system permission. Macrofied requests only the permissions needed by the feature you use.

Can I use Macrofied offline?

Macro editing and playback are local. Paid editions periodically renew a signed license lease, and Ollama-based AI analysis runs against your chosen local model.

Where are macros stored?

Macros can be saved as readable .mcr files, making them easy to organize, inspect, back up, and transfer between supported systems.
